The Witches Head Nebula

Description
Just west of the star Rigel (the lower right star in Orion) lies this gem. It is a remnant of an ancient supernova and that is so large that even our 4 full moon by 3 full moon field size cannot see it all. This dusty cloud is softly scattering light likely from Rigel giving it a blue glow. Deep inside this nebula are stars that are just now forming.
