The Pinwheel Galaxy (M101)

Description
Sharing the same sky as the Big Dipper but you would never know, this object, known as the Pinwheel Galaxy is 21 million light years away. It is a galaxy interacting with other galaxies also seen in the field. The red spots in the galaxy are the equivalent of the many bright red nebulae w see in our own galaxy that signal the birth of new stars.
