The Iris Nebula

Description
Never a more dusty place exists than here... Dark silicate and carbon particles swirl around a newly formed star in the middle of a dust cloud. The star's light in the blue part of its spectrum is scattered by the dust in the cloud giving it a markedly blue color. Our sky is blue due to a very similar process.
