Description
Here is a true gem. This region of space is dusty, gaseous and has many really interesting features. The star Rho Ophiuchi is at top and throughout the image you can see the red soft glow of ionized hydrogen gas, the blue reflection nebulae caused by the dusty dark nebulae scattering the stars' blue light and more. This region is just north of the star Antares which is a massive supergiant red star and the scorpions heart.
