The Eagle Nebula (Messier 16)

Description
This surreal image of this colossal glowing hydrogen gas region and stellar nursery was specially processed by Izabela Melamed. She is a processing professional, artist, and STLS main contributor. Her processing shows the copious dark nebula clouds o fine dust that is present pretty much in most places within galaxies in the Universe. This stellar nursery is no different and at center you can see the combination of dust and gas that creates the famed "Pillars of Creation" that the Hubble Space Telescope captured.
